Workers everywhere are actively organizing against unfair conditions on the job. The COVID-19 crisis exposed for many workers how little their bosses were willing to do to keep them safe and healthy. These essential workers began demanding full equipment, hazard pay, and staffing levels.
Now, workers are in motion, but they still need more resources to win against capitalists and bosses who would risk our lives to make a buck.
Our job as organizers is to build the resources, the networks, and the training workers need to win their demands. This fight begins at the workplace.
That’s why the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE) have teamed up to launch the Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee (EWOC). We are building a distributed grassroots organizing program, informed by our guiding principles, to support workers organizing at the workplace.
